More Phineas and Ferb GIFs

As promised, I am providing some comic drawings of characters from Disney's "PHINEAS & FERB" from my "PHINTASIA" parody concept. Below is a drawing of Perry the Platypus hoisting Dr. Doofenschmirtz in a take-off of the 'Dance of the Hours' segment in the original "FANTASIA":

The original segment featured Ben Ali Gator hoisting a tutu-clad Hyacinth Hippo. (Both are pictured below in a pin featuring the characters)

I will post a drawing of the 'hoisting poise' of the original characters later, when I have time to search for one....!

"Phineas and Ferb" were created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh.

So Busy.... No Time To Post Picks!

Wow! Drew caricatures at The Wharf in Orange Beach last night. I was so busy getting prepped and peeling wallpaper border that I neglected to post my weekly college football picks!
More on the drawing gig later!
Since many games are already underway, I'll stick to the later ones:

More PHINEAS & FERB Fun! "PHINTASIA" GIFs!

Here is the first of a few 'solo' images of character designs from "PHINTASIA", my PHINEAS and FERB parody:

This one features Phineas as the 'Sorcerer's Apprentice', and Ferb as one of the enchanted water-toting broomsticks. (Personally, I think these would make great trading-pin designs!)
Phineas and Ferb were created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh, and are (c)Disney.

More tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Picks Coming Tomorrow PM

I will be posting my SEC picks tomorrow evening......

AT&T Features Interview With "Phineas & Ferb" Creators

OUCH! Arkansas, So. Cal, BYU & Utes Expose My CFB Ignorance

Sean Reese told me. He stated that the USC Trojans were ripe for an upset. I laughed at him. Openly. There was NO WAY that the team that slogged around and looked sloppy and played so poorly against the LSU Tigers would topple the perennially-dubbed "potentially the Greatest Team EVER" in college football....!
Washington 16, USC 13.

What do I know....?
Florida State 54, BYU 28.
Utah bellies up.
Arkansas made Georgia look like an SEC contender...!

These anomolies have negatively impacted my picks percentage.

ROLL TIDE.

Brent's Week 3 College Picks

Okay. Week 3. Here we go.

Thursday:
MIAMI 28, Georgia Tech 24. Canes eek it out late.

Saturday:
ALABAMA 42, North Texas 7. Tide’s Special teams received some unwanted hands-on supervision this week!
FLORIDA 56, tennessee 14. Ouch! Shut up, Kiffin, or it will really get out-of-hand...!
SOUTH CAROLINA 35, Florida Atlantic . 17 The Cocks finally get an offensive punch, but the D can’t stop anybody from scoring…!
LSU 31, Louisiana-Lafayette 7. Bayou Bengals overpower and eventually pull away.
VANDERBILT 24, Mississippi State 14 Commodores overcome injuries, while Bulldogs run out of steam.
OLE MISS 34, Southeastern Louisiana 14 Rebels get their bearings after extended vacation.
ARKANSAS 31, Georgia 24 Will Razorbacks get caught looking ahead to Bama…? Not likely. Bulldogs secondary will be exposed.
auburn 21, West Virginia 20 Both teams come in undefeated, yet virtually untested. Whoever blinks first loses. Oddly enough, the plainsmen/tigers/war eagles/wtf will be better prepared.
KENTUCKY 28, Louisville 17 Cats consume Cardinal

Elsewhere:
BYU 42, Florida St. 14. Poor Bobby. Poooor, poor Bobby…..
TEXAS 42, TEXAS Tech 21 Harrell and Crabtree are gone. First road game for new qb. Longhorns won’t slow down.
USC 49, Washington 14. The Huskies made LSU look better than they really are. Trojans pile on. Some pundits go ahead and award Southern Cal the championship. They are declared to be 'possibly the greatest team of all time' again......
Notre Dame 21, Michigan St 14. Irish finally get lucky. A win should put them in the top five.
UTAH 28, Oregon 17 Utes still seem to be legit.

"Ferby" Character P & F Parody

Remember the popular line of toys that came out about 10 years ago that were like pets? They were called "Furbies" and were all the rage. This is an obvious parody that I can't believe hasn't been done yet:

Picks Coming This Afternoon!

I will have my college football picks up later this evening, before the ESPN game....

Phineas & Ferb Parody

Below is yet ANOTHER Phineas and Ferb knock-off that I drew and sent to Dan Povenmire while the show he co-created with Jeff "Swampy" Marsh was in development.
I was told that many of these can be seen on the studio's office walls....
In this instance, our heroes are rendered as militant Islamic extremists. Note Perry as a wild-eyed scimitar-weilding assassin.....!

D23: Lasseter Promises More Hand-drawn Animation

From Animation Magazine.net:

Monday, September 14, 2009By: Thomas J. Mclean
PIXAR and Disney animation chief John Lasseter has built the studio’s sterling reputation on cutting-edge CG animation, but says Disney fans can expect to see a lot more hand-drawn animation in the future.
Speaking at Disney’s D23 fan expo in Anaheim, Lasseter gave fans a peek at the upcoming hand-drawn film The Princess and the Frog, and a new Winnie the Pooh feature due out in 2011, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He said that studios had made a mistake in focusing solely on CG animation.
“I never quite understood why the studios thought people wouldn’t want to watch it,” Lasseter said, according to a Reuters report. “What audiences didn’t want was bad movies.”
Speaking to press, Lasseter denied there was any truth to the rumor that Pixar was planning an Ant-Man movie as part of Disney’s recently announced plans to buy Marvel Entertainment.
He also announced some casting news for the upcoming Toy Story 3, confirming that John Morris will return as the voice of Andy. Jeff Garliln, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton and Whoopi Goldberg also will play voices in the film.
In other D23 news, Disney announced plans to revamp the Star Tours attraction to be a 3-D experience, opening in 2011. The company also announced plans to vastly expand its Fantasyland attraction at Walt Disney World, opening in 2012.

More Phineas & Ferb Parody Cartoons

This is a drarring I did and sent to Dan Povenmire while Phineas & Ferb was in development at Disney. I inadvertently omitted co-creator Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh from the credits.
Apologies.

In this pic, I rendered Phineas & Ferb in an 'old school' style and placed the stepbrothers in the cabin from "Steamboat Willie".

"Missed It By THAT Much....!!"

Yep. One pick away from perfection again. ONE PICK.
ANOTHER reason I hate that Tennessee orange.
Florida is gonna KILL those vile hillbillies this Saturday. On national tv.
Predictions later this week.

Even Obama Calls Kanye a "JackAss"...!

Ha ha. Jay Leno caught Kanye West off-guard with a reference to what Kanye's grandmother would think of his behavior: storming the stage and inappropriately taking the microphone during that Taylor Swift girl's acceptance speech the other night on the Video Music Awards.
Poor Kanye. He almost cry. He shake his head. He say he sorry he stole her moment and have to work on his behavior.

DUH! How is all this 'hope' and 'change' working out...?

One of the Williams sisters jigs up a tennis match, acting all ghetto. Then, she is shocked and appalled when she is penalized a point, which, fittingly, causes her to lose the match. What a sport! At least Kanye apologized for his actions.

How Long....?

Just how long DOES it take a back injury to heal....? The doctor told me about three months, if I followed his advice and limited my activity to breathing and pissing. And he told me not to pick up 'anything heavier than a pencil'....!
I've really tried hard. I will do something normal, like cut the grass or lift up one of the twins. It is hard not to pick them up when they are standing under you with their hands up...! Then, I pay for it the next day with excruciating pain, immobility and non-productivity.
Maybe the nice physician knows what he's talking about. Ouch.

ANYway, here, as promised, is another of the drawings sent to Dan Povenmire featuring one of the characters of Disney's "Phineas & Ferb". This one has Phineas in a cross-over parody with Frank Miller's "Sin City". Some of you may not get it.

Ferb Trek

Here, as promised, is another Phineas & Ferb parody that I had sent a couple of years ago to Dan Povenmire, one of the show's creators, back when the show was in development.
Perry the Platypus is doing a fine job, of course, manning the controls of the transporter...

This Week's College Football Picks

Here are my picks for THIS weekend (Sept 12):

ALABAMA 45, Florida International 0 “ Fla. Int’l”…? Really…? What are they, immigrants…? A travel agency...? An import shop...?
FLORIDA 48, Troy 21 Gators (AND Troy ) will be surprised by toughness of Trojans
Tennessee 24, UCLA 21 Improved Vols pull it out late against Bruins

The next three are toss-ups, and could go either way:

Auburn 14, Mississippi St. 13.Evenly-matched. State COULD pull the upset.
Georgia 21, South Carolina 17 Visor will be flying as Ol’ Ball Coach watches his team beat themselves, making Bulldogs look better than they actually ARE…
LSU 31, Vanderbilt 28. This one is tricky. After a sluggish trip out west, tigers could be vulnerable. Vandy is much improved, and could have a chance late.

Non-SEC:
PENN STATE 24, Syracuse 14
BYU 35, Tulane 7
Texas 31, Wyoming 17
Navy 24, La. Tech 10
USC 42, Ohio State 24
Michigan 17, Notre Dame 16

Phineas and Ferb Parodies

A few weeks back, I had posted some Phineas & Ferb parody drawings over on my website, http://www.brentoons.com/ . I will be periodically posting some here, for exposure's sake. Enjoy!

The photo above is Perry the Platypus on the cover of Love Handel's "MARSUPIALS" album. This is a take-off of Pink Floyd's "ANIMALS" album cover, featuring Perry in the 'floating pig' pose.

Tooting One's Own Horn

Last week, the Georgia Bulldogs ruined my possibility of 100% accuracy on my college football picks. Shame on the Bulldogs.
